How we make money
Personal loans for fair or bad credit
These lenders say they consider applicants with fair or bad credit or publish a low minimum score. Rates at the top of their ranges can be very high: a loan above 36% APR is expensive by any measure, and a credit union loan or a secured card may cost less.
4 lenders. Rates and terms checked on each lender's website on October 16, 2026. For reference, the Federal Reserve's average 24-month personal loan rate at commercial banks was 11.90% (August 2026).
Every article is checked against primary sources: the Consumer Financial Protection
Bureau, the Federal Reserve and issuer terms. When a number changes, we update the piece
and say when.

What we are not
Hub for Credit publishes independent information about credit cards, loans, and consumer finance. We are not a bank, a lender, or a card issuer, we do not extend credit, and we do not broker applications. Nothing here is personalized financial advice.
